The Worthington Hotel
The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel
Heading to Texas!
The Worthington hotel is located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth at 200 Main Street, near numerous DFW attractions, including the fort worth stockyards, the Dallas Museum of art, and much more.
The Worthington first opened in 1981 as one of the earliest anchors of Sundance Square, becoming part of the ambitious revitalization that helped shape downtown Fort Worth. In 1999, the hotel joined Marriott International’s Renaissance portfolio, taking on the name The Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel.
Today, the landmark hotel offers more than 50,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, making it an impressive setting for everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale celebrations. Following an $8 million renovation, The Worthington emerged with a refreshed interpretation of Texas style — warm woods, rich textures, contemporary Western details, and a lobby that feels distinctly Fort Worth without leaning into cliché.
One of the most striking architectural features of this hotel is the staircase within the suite. A true example of postmodern design, it functions less as a passageway and more as a sculptural statement. Postmodern architecture, often referred to as “PoMo,” prioritizes individuality and experimentation, rejecting rigid classical conventions. Emerging as a deliberate counterpoint to traditional design, the movement embraced rule-breaking as a way to create spaces that feel dynamic, expressive, and unexpectedly playful.
The penthouse offers 1,248 square feet of interior space, complemented by 240 square feet outdoors. Two-story windows frame sweeping city views, while a baby grand piano, private lounge access, and thoughtful amenities elevate the experience. The Worthington Hotel delivers charm and individuality, but it is the beauty of its spaces—and the care taken in every detail—that ultimately makes it a true standout.
The suite life : ‘van cliburn Suite’
Although the staircase is the centerpiece of this suite, it's not the only thing to see. A great deal of post modern and Art Deco style that you’ll see a lot of if you’re visting downtown DFW!
In this suite, beauty and a sense of timelessness are present at every hour of the day. Unobstructed downtown views unfold from the six-person dining area, creating an ideal setting for both meals and conversation. The living room can also be converted into an additional sleeping space, making it well suited for hosting guests without sacrificing comfort.
The dining area sits beside a butler’s kitchen designed for both function and ease, offering every modern convenience alongside a wine cellar and dedicated wine storage. One particularly charming detail remains the Texas sink—a distinctive touch that adds character and a quiet nod to tradition.
The top of the landing is where you will find a quiet oasis. The lofted bedroom offers a panoramic view of the entire suite! If you like a cool, quiet resting area, then you will appreciate these 360 blackout curtains!
Whether you enjoy sleeping in a 500 thread count Egyptian cotton bed or relaxing in a walk-in tub, I'm fully confident that this presidential suite would leave you smiling! Visit the Worthington's website for more information on this suite.

a perfect place to celebrate in fort worth
The restaurant's staff spared no expense to make sure that all Birthday details were handled in the most thoughtful and caring manner. This is not at all surprising for a Dallas establishment. Dallas is proud of its hospitality.
Mom’s Birthday dinner had finally arrived! For this special girls weekend, we decided to reserve an exclusive birthday dinner for two.
I worked directly with staff members to plan the perfect “Birthday moment” at the end of the night.
“Spearheaded by Celebrity Chef Richard Sandoval, Toro Toro is a super unique offering in downtown Fort Worth. The Fort Worth Toro Toro is the first in the entire state of Texas. We offer a contemporary atmosphere with delicious Pan Latin-inspired cuisine and libations. We are a steakhouse, but we set ourselves apart with vibrant flavors, the convivial dining style traditionally found in Central and South America, and the ingredients used to highlight our meats, seafood, vegetables, and more.”
The Tequila room: For dinner, we reserved Toro Toro’s tequila locker room—an experience that feels part private dining, part playful indulgence. Styled like a locker room, but dedicated entirely to tequila, it offers a setting that’s both unexpected and intimate. For a celebration, it’s a perfect combination. Beyond the novelty, the space provides a sense of privacy and a distinct vantage point within the restaurant, making the evening feel genuinely special. The room itself can accommodate 16 people.
The dining room has a main table with a capacity of 10, three additional tables with two chairs each. Whether you are celebrating a large occasion or dining with your loved one, this is the ideal setting.
There is no extra charge to reserve this experience, it’s simply ‘first come first serve’.
Visit the Corrida coffee shop for breakfast (on the hotel's north end).
“Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the ‘Titanic’ who waved off the dessert cart.””
